I found this kind of interesting, tonight I stumbled across this video on YouTube. An old episode of Top Gear circa 1990 that highlights the MGB family of cars.

Well the MG project has been on hold for quite a while now, I’ve been focusing on being financially responsible(gag) for some time now. Thus my ‘hobby’ has suffered as a result, but no longer! A few days ago I pulled the trigger on an order from Moss Moss for all of my sill replacement pieces and half sections of my rear quarter panels. I’m pretty excited to get back on it.

I’m a little hesitant about the welding though I ‘might’ have to have my brother Kevin or my dad help me out. From the little bit of welding I’ve done so far I’m a little concerned that the MG might collapse in on itself during it’s maiden voyage.

Tonight I’m going to do a little video recap of where I’m at now since it’s been so long. Stay Tuned!

I paint up the MG B’s front cross member and disassemble the steering rack.

Previously I had cleaned up the MG Bs front shock absorbers, you can see that here. Now I move on to the rears and clean them up, drain and refill the oil in them.

My brother Kevin’s friend Travis has a very serious car restoration hobby and was kind enough to let us use his sandblasting booth to clean up some of the MG B’s parts.
