MG52 – Volvo S40 Thermostat Replacement
Apr 10th, 2010 by mkokes

I unfortunately threw my back out a few days ago so no new progress on the MG, but I did replace the thermostat in my Volvo over Easter so I figured I’d throw this video up now. I was getting a check engine light and when I pulled the codes it gave me P0128 code. After doing some searching on the interwebs that translates to “Coolant Temp Below Thermostat Regulating Temp”. From the looks of it most people replaced their coolant temp sensor first which did not fix the problem, then they went for the thermostat which did fix the problem. I figured I’d cut to the chase and just go right for the thermostat and sure enough that fixed the problem and only cost me $10.
MG51 – A Quick Recap

It’s been a while since I worked on the MG B so I thought I’d do a little recap and bring everyone back up to speed.
Back on track!
Apr 2nd, 2010 by mkokes

Well the MG project has been on hold for quite a while now, I’ve been focusing on being financially responsible(gag) for some time now. Thus my ‘hobby’ has suffered as a result, but no longer! A few days ago I pulled the trigger on an order from Moss Moss for all of my sill replacement pieces and half sections of my rear quarter panels. I’m pretty excited to get back on it.

I’m a little hesitant about the welding though I ‘might’ have to have my brother Kevin or my dad help me out. From the little bit of welding I’ve done so far I’m a little concerned that the MG might collapse in on itself during it’s maiden voyage.

Tonight I’m going to do a little video recap of where I’m at now since it’s been so long. Stay Tuned!
